Genny is actively involved in volunteering through the Study NSW International Student Welcome Desk at Sydney Airport and enjoys contributing to the welfare of students arriving in Sydney for the first time. Genny says that volunteering has enriched her cultural understanding and interpersonal skills, which enhanced her overall study abroad experience.

“I would highly recommend volunteering to other international students if they want to be exposed to intercultural communication and networking opportunities, boost their resumes and develop skillsets. The one thing I wish I knew before coming to NSW was to take advantage of these volunteering opportunities early!”
